Crispy roasted Brussels sprouts with smoky bacon and a Hot Honey glaze. The side that converts sprout-haters.
Serves: 4 as a side | Prep: 10 min | Cook: 25 min
Ingredients
- 500 g Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 150 g streaky bacon, chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp The Flavorsmith Hot Honey
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Method
- Heat the oven to 220°C.
- Toss the sprouts and bacon with the oil, salt and pepper. Spread on a tray, sprouts cut-side down.
- Roast 20–25 minutes, until the sprouts are deeply browned and the bacon is crisp.
- Mix the Hot Honey and balsamic. Pour over the hot sprouts and toss well.
Chef's tip: Cut-side down on a hot tray gives you that dark, nutty caramelisation — don't move them for the first 15 minutes.
