Frequently Asked Questions

How spicy is your Hot Honey?
It sits at the high end of our range — a genuine, lingering chilli kick from gochugaru, cayenne and chilli flakes, balanced by pure NZ honey so it's hot but never harsh.

What do you put hot honey on?
Drizzle it over pizza, fried chicken, hot chips and roast veg; pair it with sharp or soft cheeses; glaze meats; or stir a spoonful into cocktails and even ice cream.

Is your Hot Honey gluten-free?
Yes — it's made with gluten-free ingredients (NZ honey, cider vinegar, salt and chillies).

Is it vegan?
No — it's made with real New Zealand honey, so it's vegetarian but not vegan. If you'd like a vegan sweet-heat option, our Chipotle Maple uses maple and date syrup instead.

Does it contain refined sugar or additives?
No refined sugar, preservatives, colours or artificial additives — just honey, vinegar, salt and chilli.

Why has my hot honey gone thick or crystallised?
That's completely natural with 100% real honey. Stand the jar in warm water for a few minutes and it returns to a smooth, pourable drizzle.
