Oven-crisp wings tossed in melted butter and Hot Honey. No deep fryer needed.
Serves: 4 | Prep: 10 min | Cook: 45 min
Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken wing nibbles
- 1 tbsp baking powder (gluten-free if needed)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 30 g butter
- 4 tbsp The Flavorsmith Hot Honey
- Squeeze of lemon
Method
- Heat the oven to 220°C. Set a wire rack over a lined tray.
- Pat the wings very dry. Toss with the baking powder, salt and garlic powder.
- Spread the wings on the rack. Bake 40–45 minutes, turning halfway, until deep golden and crisp (75°C inside).
- Melt the butter in a large bowl in the microwave. Stir in the Hot Honey and lemon.
- Toss the hot wings in the sauce and serve straight away.
Chef's tip: Baking powder (not soda) draws moisture out of the skin — it's the trick to fryer-crisp wings from the oven.
